I meant to write about this earlier but I couldn’t find the proper time for it. It could also be that I’m just totally terrified about this – and I forgot how that felt until now.
But it’s here, so I’m just going to ride this terror/excitement out. I have a new short story out on Amazon! 🙂
It’s a Match
A short story
Cams Ronquillo is single and ready to mingle – at least, online. After finally moving on from her last break-up, she decides to try online dating thanks to the encouragement of Gabriel Evangelista, her friend, business partner, and serial (online) dater. As she learns to navigate through the potential dates at her fingertips, Cams decides to break one of their online dating rules…and gets a very unexpected match.
I started writing this as part of #WriteBreakupSongsAbout challenge back in 2015, but Filipino ReaderCon happened and I had to drop it. Then when I started itching to finish things, I went back to this and let me repeat it: it’s so fun to finish things.
If you’ve read Fall Like Rain, you’ve met Cams already. She’s one of the characters I really liked writing back then, and I thought she deserved her own story. And here it is. Still terrified and excited, but I figure this is practice for the time I release book # 2 (soon, soon). 🙂
Thanks to everyone who helped with this, and who have tweeted/bought! It’s going to be exclusively available on Amazon for now, but if you’re looking for ePub, drop me a line and I’ll work on something.
I’m still terrified, haha. Better get used to this, right? 🙂
Slight connection: today is the feast day of St. Rita of Cascia and the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity. Seems like a good day to release something. 🙂
